Charleston Cosmetic Surgery
How do I prepare for my cosmetic surgery?
Dr. O’Neill and his staff will spend as much time as is necessary to ensure that you have the information you need prior to your breast augmentation. In Charleston, cosmetic surgery involves planning and taking steps pre-operatively to ensure the best possible outcome.
Prior to surgery, you may be asked to:
- Get lab testing or a medical evaluation
- Take certain medications or adjust your current medications
- Get a baseline mammogram before surgery and another one after surgery to help detect any future changes in your breast tissue
- Stop smoking well in advance of surgery
- Avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs and herbal supplements as they can increase bleeding
All breast augmentation patients at O’Neill Plastic Surgery have a pre-operative visit prior to their surgery date during which they receive a booklet of information outlining all of the pre-operative and post-operative instructions. All remaining questions are addressed, surgical consents are reviewed and signed, pre-operative photos are taken, and all necessary supplies are provided. Don’t take a chance with just any clinic in Charleston: cosmetic surgery specialist is waiting to fully prepare you for your coming procedure, ensuring your safety and peace of mind.
